AI consulting services: what the engagement includes
If you are looking at AI consulting services, you probably want to know three things: what you actually get, in what order, and what happens if it does not deliver. This page walks through the engagement as it really runs. The AI Operating Blueprint comes first, then implementation, then an optional Operating Partner role.
I'm Tyson Bernthal, and I'll write this owner to owner. Whether you are a founder, a CEO, an operator, the starting question is the same: where is your company carrying operating weight it shouldn't be carrying anymore? Sometimes the answer is AI. Sometimes it is software you already own. Sometimes it is knowledge that sits in one person's head.
ForgeFoyer implements AI in the business for you, done for you. You bring the operating problem, and we handle the diagnosis, the plan and the build.
What our AI consulting services include
The engagement has three parts. The first is the AI Operating Blueprint, a diagnosis of how your company actually works and where AI, automation or better institutional memory belongs. The second is implementation, which we scope around an agreed business outcome. The third is an optional Operating Partner relationship, offered only when it earns its place.
Everything after the Blueprint follows from what the Blueprint finds. We don't start by selling you an AI agent, a chatbot or a predetermined piece of software. We don't know what you need until we have looked carefully at your business, and neither does anyone else.
If you are wondering where to start with AI in your business, start there. You do not need to know what you want built. You can bring a bottleneck, disconnected systems, or an area where AI seems like it should be creating more value. You also don't need to understand AI to move forward. The Blueprint is written in business language, and every recommendation carries its reasoning.
The Blueprint comes first
Before anyone builds anything, we look at the business through several lenses. People: where does work depend on someone remembering, approving or pushing something forward? Knowledge: where does important company knowledge live, and can the organization use it without asking someone? Workflow: where is work handed off, chased, checked, re-entered or reconstructed? Systems: what does the software you own already know, and where are your people covering the gaps between systems?
Then we look at AI itself. Where could AI materially improve the operation? Where could carefully bounded automation help? Where would AI add more complexity or risk than value? Finally we look at economics, because something being technically possible doesn't always make it worth doing.
The process is compact. It runs through an intake conference, focused interviews with the people who regularly execute the workflow, a review of the relevant systems and materials, our analysis, and a readout session where we walk you through the plan and you can challenge it. Your team's involvement is typically a handful of hours in total, concentrated in the interviews and the readout. We do the rest. The proposal states the exact duration once scope is set.
Your materials are used solely for this engagement. Interview content is reported thematically, without personal attribution, so your people can speak plainly. System access is read-only wherever possible.
What you receive at the end
You receive a written, decision-ready plan. It covers the recommended operating architecture, what should happen first, the expected economics, the important risks and controls, and what implementation would actually require. It is built so you can make decisions, not so you can admire a hundred-page report.
Every opportunity lands in one of four categories. Do Now means meaningful value and a credible path to implementation. Do Next means a good opportunity where something else should happen first. Wait means an interesting idea that doesn't deserve your attention yet. Keep Human means judgment, relationships, control or economics say a person should stay responsible.
That last category matters. If the right answer is software you already own, we'll tell you. If you need a different specialist, we'll tell you. If you should document a process before touching AI, we'll tell you.
The Blueprint belongs to you. You receive an editable copy and the supporting working documents. You can have ForgeFoyer implement it, hand it to another provider, give it to your internal team, or decide to implement nothing yet.
Implementation and the optional Operating Partner
If the Blueprint points to ForgeFoyer implementation, we scope it around an agreed business outcome. That means milestones, ownership, acceptance criteria, controls and explicit exclusions. The goal is a working, company-owned system with no artificial technical or knowledge lock-in.
Implementation doesn't mean replacing everything you own. The Blueprint determines what should be preserved, connected, extended or built, and you see that plan, challenge it and refine it before anything is built. We may keep your useful software and design the operating layer around it: the knowledge architecture, workflows, AI roles, integrations, controls and human gates. Nothing happens by surprise.
The aim is a company that can leverage AI as part of how it runs, so that customer history, decisions and ongoing work stay connected and the business keeps moving while you're away. Your people spend less time searching, re-entering and chasing, and more time on the work that needs people. That is how we integrate AI without replacing the people who make the company valuable.
The Operating Partner role is optional. Complete handoff is a successful outcome, and transition support may be appropriate along the way. We offer ongoing Operating Partner involvement only when continuing governance, coordination or improvement creates enough value to justify it.
The 90-day guarantee
Here is the guarantee as we stand behind it: AI that saves your company time and money within 90 days of going live. Or our work is free.
In practice, it works like this. If we propose implementation, it's because the Blueprint showed us where you'll save time and money. We agree on those savings in writing before we build. If the implementation doesn't deliver them within ninety days of going live, our work is free. And if the Blueprint doesn't show savings we can stand behind, we won't propose the work.
We also won't promise you a number before we've looked at your business. Anyone who can say exactly how much AI will save you before understanding your workflows, people, systems and economics is guessing. We identify the value mechanism, state our assumptions, and help you make a rational business decision.
Start with a free 30-minute call
The first step is a free 30-minute conversation at forgefoyer.com/book. It isn't a full diagnosis. We pick one real operating problem and unpack it. Where does it show up? Who touches it? What systems are involved? Where does it break? How often does someone have to step in?
If there is a meaningful operating case for a Blueprint, I'll explain what I think we should examine, and you can decide whether you want a proposal. If I don't see a strong case, I'll tell you. Plenty of businesses don't need ForgeFoyer, and plenty of problems don't need AI.
Before the call, ask yourself one question: if you stepped away for thirty days, where would the company feel your absence first? That is usually where the conversation should begin.
Questions owners ask
What do AI consulting services from ForgeFoyer include?
The engagement begins with the AI Operating Blueprint, a written, decision-ready plan that sorts opportunities into Do Now, Do Next, Wait and Keep Human. If the plan points to ForgeFoyer, implementation is scoped around an agreed business outcome. An Operating Partner relationship is optional and offered only when ongoing governance or improvement creates enough value.
Do I need to understand AI to work with you?
No. The Blueprint is written in business language, every recommendation carries its reasoning, and nothing is built until you have approved a plan you fully understand.
Does the Blueprint require ForgeFoyer to implement it?
No. The Blueprint belongs to you. You receive an editable copy and the supporting working documents, and you can use them with ForgeFoyer, another provider or your own team. A valid recommendation may also be existing software, knowledge capture first, waiting, or keeping the work with people.
Will AI replace our people?
No. We free your people's workflow so they can contribute more to the company. In practice that means fewer manual handoffs, less chasing and re-entering, and more time for the work only your people can do. Where work should stay with people, the Blueprint says so under Keep Human.
